A lace heart, and then a beak.

A filigree heart worked like metal lace, with a small cross set in the middle of it and a long bird skull hanging underneath, beak pointing down.

The heart is sweet and the skull is not, and the whole earring is about four centimetres of that argument.

Silver tone alloy, not sterling. It will not tarnish and it will not pass for silver either.

Worn

A moth, or a skull. You pick.

Black velvet, white collar, and it knows exactly what it is doing.

Long sleeves, lace neckline, buttons all the way up.

Square neck, enormous sleeves, short everywhere else.
